Troops Need You enables everyday Americans to become Battle Buddies for troops who request mission-essential equipment and supplies - whether deployed on the war front or healing on the home front.

Request a Battle Buddy

Whether you are deployed on the war front or healing on the home front, you can request a civilian Battle Buddy to sponsor mission-related supplies. Many Americans want to assist you, and Troops Need You listens and delivers the supplies you request.

On the home front, healing warriors have requested and received laptop computers, furniture, truck payments, baby strollers, travel expenses, home appliances and game systems for themselves and their families.

From the war front, deployed units have requested medical and school supplies, water purification systems, sports league equipment, children's clothing and even specialized weapon cleaning kits.

To see what your fellow service members have requested, take a look at the current profile pages. As you see, we publish a minimal amount of information to protect your privacy.

Deployed Warriors on the War front: If your unit could use a Battle Buddy and is ready to request assistance, please email the following information, along with at least two recent, outdoor photos including troops in your deployed unit to HQ (at) troopsneedyou (dot) org: Rank, Name, Hometown, Deployed Unit, Base/FOB, Country and tell us what assistance could support your mission. For example, medical and school supplies, sports league equipment and water purification systems are most common. But don't feel limited - we listen and deliver.

Healing Warriors on the Home front: If you could use a Battle Buddy and are ready to request assistance, please email the following information, along with at least one recent photo and one from your deployment to HQ (at) troopsneedyou (dot) org: Rank, Name, Hometown, Deployed Unit, Base/FOB, and Country. Tell us a bit about your story, and what assistance could help you move out on your new mission: Healing.

Once we validate the request, you will have your own profile page so your civilian Battle Buddies can start contributing to your request. Once the funds are there, we purchase and ship to you.

You don't pay for these goods but they are not free: Troops Need You depends completely on the private generosity of the American people. So, it's important for supporters to know that their contribution made a difference.

Thus, in exchange for the fulfilled request, and this is important, you agree to take photos and/or a short video showing that you received the goods and saying, "Thank You" to your Battle Buddies.
